The Miracle Mike Foundation was born out of love — a deep, unwavering love for our son, Michael Ford Matzuk, affectionately known as Miracle Mike.

In February 2024, Michael entered the world under the most difficult of circumstances. After a traumatic delivery, we were thrust into a 15-day journey in the NICU — days filled with hope, fear, fierce love, and endless prayers. Some prayers were answered. Others were not. And on the fifteenth day, we came home with broken hearts and empty arms.

Though Michael’s time here was short, his impact was immense. He changed us. He showed us what it means to fight, to love deeply, and to find strength in the darkest moments. His life — brief, yet powerful — lit a fire in us to honor him by helping others walking through similar storms.​

​The Miracle Mike Foundation exists to support families facing traumatic births, NICU stays, and infant loss. We know the heartbreak. We live with the silence. And we also know that even in the sorrow, there is space for love, hope, and healing.
This foundation is Michael’s legacy — a way to ensure that no family feels alone, and no child’s life goes unremembered. Through compassion, connection, and advocacy, we carry his light forward — one story, one family, one miracle at a time.
